web and mobile service that enables capturing and collecting different types of data and their import in standard format.
Qumulus is a web and mobile service that enables capturing and collecting different types of data and their import in standard format. Data capture is carried out with the aid of previously prepared forms through a web application in the browser or with the use of a purpose mobile application on Android devices. Data are saved in a cloud during each capture and are always available to users.
The Qumulus system consists of a data server, a mobile application for work with documents for devices with the Android system, a web application for work with documents through a browser, and an administration application for the preparation of custom forms for mobile capture.
Mobile access supports the use of additional features of the device, such as the capture of the barcode, GPS position, photograph, audio recordings.
The mobile application can connect with a service in a cloud through a 3G mobile network or Wi-Fi network. Due to the possibility of capturing a larger quantity of data (images and audio), we have added to the application the option of separately saving data that could cause a heavier traffic load on the 3G network. The application can wait with the transfer of “larger” data, until we are back in the office or in the premises where the local (and much cheaper) Wi-Fi network is available. In this case the application automatically detects a local network and makes sure that the rest of the captured data are automatically saved in a cloud.
