Port of Koper e-dispositions celebrate their 20th anniversary
Published : 13 September, 2012On September 2012 twenty years have passed since the electronic port disposition and electronic data interchange between the Port of Koper and the forwarding companies and shipping agencies have been in regular use.
In the beginning of the 90s the project was revolutionary, as it introduced for all indirect users of transhipment and storage services of the Port of Koper – i.e. forwarding companies and shipping agencies, electronic work ordering and reporting back to clients – electronic certification of the transfer of ownership between forwarding companies and shipping agencies (“Without reservation” document), automatized opening of the record of goods and deleverage of the central cargo storage record, and return electronic notifications of contracting authorities about the implemented services (“Entry, removal from warehouses” document). Thus, the prescribed red (entry of goods), blue (exit of goods) and yellow (additional works) paper dispositions in six copies went down in history…
